Dr. Pinsky Wins a 2014 Vitals Patients’ Choice Award
Congratulations to our plastic surgeon, Dr. Mark Pinsky, for being recognized with a 2014 Vitals Patients’ Choice Award! Dr. Pinsky is among only five percent of active doctors in the U.S. to receive this prestigious award, which is based on patient reviews and ratings of doctors collected during the year.
Patients rated doctors in seven areas:
- Ease of appointment
- Promptness
- Courtesy of staff
- Bedside manner
- Accurate diagnosis
- Amount of time spent listening
- Follow-up care
To earn a Patients’ Choice Award, doctors must achieve an average rating of 3.5 or higher on a 4-star rating scale, in addition to having a medical license in good standing.
Vitals is an online patient resource, launched in 2008, that helps individuals find reviews and information on doctors and medical facilities. The Vitals organization cites a recent poll indicating that 42 percent of U.S. adults consulted online doctor-rating sites in 2014, a jump from 25 percent in 2013. Vitals says more than 100 million people look for doctors on its websites each year.
