What Is Restylane® Kysse?


Restylane Kysse is a next-generation hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is FDA-approved to smooth fine vertical lines along the lips (perioral lines) and provide lip augmentation. The unique formulation of Restylane Kysse includes tiny hyaluronic acid molecules and flexible cross-linking technology (called XpresHAn Technology™), making it one of the smoothest lip fillers available. The smooth consistency and flexibility of Restylane Kysse allows it to look and feel natural in the lips, and move with the dynamic expressions of the lips and mouth. In clinical trials reported by Galderma, results achieved with Restylane Kysse can last up to a year for most patients.

What Happens During Treatment with Restylane® Kysse?

Lip augmentation with Restylane Kysse is a relatively quick process that can be performed on your lunch break, if desired. For added comfort, a topical anesthetic can be applied to the lips prior to injection. Injections are performed using a variety of techniques until the desired shape and fullness is achieved. Following treatment, cold compresses can be applied to the lips to control swelling and aid in comfort. Patients may commonly experience some temporary swelling and mild bruising after treatment, which generally dissipates within a few days.
